Life Changes

Again, its been a very long time since I've posted anything here...life happens!!  

2013 was a year of many changes for me.  

• New Job!!  In February, I started as an Assistant Manager at Panera Bread, Plano.
• In April I filed for divorced and moved to Plano, Texas.
• Lost and gained a lot of friends while continuing to learn a lot about myself, food services, management and life.

My new position takes up a lot of my time, but I still enjoy baking and still have a dream of baking pies full time.  I am currently looking for an investor to help me take that next step, but as of now, God has me at Panera where I am learning a lot and enjoying being a part of a company that believes in putting our customers first!  

If you are looking for an excellent dessert for any occasion please contact me and I will be happy to bake up a few pies!!  

Well, its been awhile since I've posted here.  I've had a couple more big changes in my life.  Although I love baking pies, the business was not providing the income I needed, so on Aug. 2 I started a new full time job as an executive assistant for a really GREAT company.  I really enjoy it and am so thankful for God's provision.  I continue to bake on the weekends.  This past weekend I did 6 dozen minis for the 'groom's cake' at a wedding. 

The other big change came when I sent my little girl off to college at the University of Oklahoma!  Its been a rough 2 weeks for her and I, but I think the adjustments are going well.  She is starting to make friends and get comfortable with her schedule.  I miss her so much, but I know this is a very important step in her life and I am very proud of her. 

Remember, if you'd like to order some pies, I am still able to fill orders on the weekends. 

My new product is literally a bite sized pie!  I call them Pie Bites.  They are just a dollar a piece or $10/dozen!  A party tray with 30 Pie Bites is $35.  Great for parties where you are serving finger foods.  Give them a try soon!!  (cream pies not available in Pie Bites).

Second, After lots of hassles with insurance companies, I finally have a 'new' car.  Not NEW of course, but a very nice Ford Escape that will allow me to make lots of pie deliveries!  I"m so thankful for God's provision.  Car shopping is never a fun experience, but God led me to the perfect place and the best car for my needs.  Thanks for all of your concern and prayers after the accident. 

As we move into the hot summer months, I look forward to spending many hours in my kitchen making delicious pies for all of you.  HAPPY SUMMER to you all!!
